CONGRATULATIONS...

... the Barn Dance made an amazing

R5 700.00 !!

Our outreach focus for the evening !! Heart2Heart !! raising funds in order to bless families with either: Ikhaya Covers, bio-stoves or hot boxes.

Bales full of fun, buckets of laughter and many a left foot!! One dad commented that he would find it easier doing calculus!

We were overjoyed when we realized that, due to the amazing profit made from the Barn Dance, we could bless 10 families with an Ikhaya Cover, a bio-stove AND a hot box each!!! We went into Masiphumelele on Saturday 26 August with our cars filled with the purchases made for the families identified by Jan Lill and a group of ladies she works with in Masi.

Outside the church where Jan and Honey demonstrated  how to use the bio-stove and hotbox.

Unpacking the cars.

Jan explaining to the families how our young adults worked towards being able to bless them!

Honey demonstrating how to use the bio-stove!

Each family receiving their Ikhaya Cover, bio-stove and hotbox, amidst much singing and dancing!

An Ikhaya Cover goes on!! One less family wet when the cold fronts hit Masiphumelele!

Learning new skills!

Walking with Rachel to her house!

Outside Rachel's house!

As we were leaving, a marimba band offered to play for us and we were offered a lesson too!!

We would like to thank everyone involved in the Barn Dance: to the many people who gave so generously of their time and money, the companies that gave donations in product and money, to the musicians who played all night, to the artists who donated their art work, and to all those who stayed afterwards to help clean up. Thank you so very much everyone!!

When we started working on the Barn Dance with our goal being to bless the home school community with a fun filled evening, and in so doing being able to bless those who can’t afford the most basic necessities, the Lord gave us a scripture for the task at hand, that scripture was:

And let us not grow weary while doing good; for in due season we will reap if we do not lose heart.” (Galatians 6:9)

Thank you Lord for Your guidance, wisdom and love.
